My dog

Gotta write this quickly, beffore my dog notices I'm in my office.

Apparently my suffering these past few months, as I struggled to produce REVENGE OF THE SITH as fast as possible, had become so papable that my dog decided my office is bad for me. Now, whenever he realizes I'm in my chair in front of this computer, he barges in and leans on me and drools on my keyboard and does whatever is necessary to prevent me from working. If I'm anywhere else in the house, doing anything else, he'll just go lay down and go back to sleep.

Fortunately, I have a laptop, so I can go work in other rooms if necessary (so far, as near as I can tell, the dog hasn't made the connection with the computer itself, only with the envrionment).

That's all. I just think it's funny. And I love having a dog who has decided he must protect me from myself.

When my dog was but a pup (or a slightly smaller pup, as the case may be), he fell into the pool. Or, more accurately he, not realizing it was a pool, just walked into it. Needless to say, he was traumatized. The first time I went to get into the pool while he was around, he started whining when I approached it, then when I jumped in he ran and jumped in to save me. Mainly what he managed to do was tear up my back pretty well, but it's the thought that counts, I suppose.

No problem. You might also plug s1ngularity, while you're at it.

What kind of dog?

Great Pyrenees. He's about nine months old now, but this was about three months ago.

Love 'em. Among the coolest of all the Big Dogs.

Almost as cool as Malamutes.

Almost? Actually, I'm not qualified to question that, as I haven't know very many Malamutes. But I have known a whole lot of dogs, and my last Pyrenees was the coolest dog I've ever met.

What sort of dog do you have?

Very cool. on behalf of gabe and all of us, thanks.

My boy's a Malamute, of course. What did you think?

Anybody who doesn't think his dog is the coolest, greatest, whatever of all time --

Doesn't deserve to even KNOW a dog, let alone be responsible for one.

Figgered as much, just wanted to be sure.

I still can't get over the fact that we have a dog named Dog.

Awesome, I have a malamute as well. She's getting up in the years though...around 13 years old now. I think malamutes are just protective in general. Ours walks between two people if they start fighting and attacks any other dogs that even look like they're trying to approach me.

Mastadge,

That reminds me of the names of Lowtax's dogs (Polly, Speedy) and cats (Cat, Stupid) over at www.somethingawful.com
